Shot blasting is mainly used to prime and clean surfaces in preparation for painting or coating, removing rust, scale or old coatings to expose clean bare metal ready for subsequent treatment.
It is also an effective surface preparation method which promotes the adhesion of the specialist in-house powder coating and wet painting services we offer.
At Durrocoat we have both booth and cabinet facilities enabling us to blast and coat quickly.
Chemical Paint Removal
SAFE AND CLEAN
We use a non-hazardous water based chemical process!
For safe and clean removal of cured paints from metal components, our non-hazardous water based chemical process is used for parts such as automotive parts and smaller machinery components prior to shot blasting.
A safer alternative to acid or caustic based chemical treatments, Durrocoat’s chemistry is ideal for the removal of polyurethane, acrylic and epoxy based paints as well as lacquers and varnish.
Our chemical strip also has inherent corrosion protection to prevent flash corrosion once the paint is removed.
