Restorations
A cost effective alternative to replacement.
Whether it’s Gates, railings and balcony rails, garden furniture or new and old radiators, Durrocoat’s restoration will bring a fresh and clean look to your cherished items or home fixtures.

Why refurbish?
Restorations are more cost effective than replacements, we often find that customers prefer to retain the historic value of their items. We are also frequently able to schedule and complete refurbishment projects much quicker than the fabrication of new.
So if you’re up-cycling, working through a home renovation, changing a colour scheme or rejuvenating some cherished items or fittings, powder coating will bring a clean fresh look that will last for many years.
Our Process
Preparation is key! Our extensive process begins with either chemical or thermal paint removal, then onto shot blasting to remove corrosion and surface contaminants. Any structural repairs are made at this stage before coating begins.
The finished coatings are built up in stages, beginning with a heavy layer of baked on primer to seal the substrate and provide a robust base for the coloured layer. Often, specialised coatings may require a third layer of clear lacquer, again this is baked in the oven forming a protective barrier.
In general terms, powder coating is a more durable form of finish than liquid paint, it is applied as a dry powder then baked at high temperatures to form a thermally bonded layer that is durable and more resilient to the elements.
